BankMuscat enhances appeal of Salalah Tourism Festival

Oman Daily Observer - 24 June, 2012

BankMuscat, the flagship financial institution in the Sultanate, joined the nation in celebrating the monsoon splendour and cultural heritage of Oman as Salalah Tourism Festival got off to a fine start in the summer capital of Oman. A large contingent of senior BankMuscat officials, including Management Executives, attended the opening ceremony of the festival.

Yasir Salim Tabook, Regional Manager — Dhofar, said: “As the nation’s leading financial institution, BankMuscat seeks to utilise all opportunities in reaching out to people, offering them an enriching experience. Salalah Tourism Festival perfectly fits into the corporate ethos of BankMuscat in serving the largest banking family in Oman as well as visitors from the region and around the world. While Salalah offers a rewarding experience to enjoy nature’s bounty, BankMuscat complements this experience by facilitating banking convenience to all.”

BankMuscat stalls adorn the festival venues where the bank personnel are on hand to familiarise visitors on various special promotions and campaigns linked to services and products offered by the bank. BankMuscat ATMs and CDMs offer superior levels of banking convenience and connectivity to visitors and tourists. Excitement has already started building up for Oman’s popular al Mazyona Savings Account holders as the second quarterly prize draw of RO 300,000 will be held on July 5 as part of the Salalah Tourism Festival celebrations.

A high point in the calendar of big prizes from BankMuscat, al Mazyona offers one of the biggest prize money in the savings scheme history in Oman. Salalah Tourism Festival is directed towards supporting Oman's tourism industry and offering fun and entertainment for citizens, residents and visitors. In all the previous editions of Salalah Tourism Festival, BankMuscat has been closely involved with the popular family holiday event. “The partnership with Salalah Tourism Festival is an earnest attempt by BankMuscat to propagate the core family values held dear by Omanis,” Yasir Salim Tabook 1340450770144100500 said.

“BankMuscat is committed to making Salalah Tourism Festival a great success. As main sponsor of the annual celebrations, BankMuscat aims to unite citizens, residents and visitors in sharing the good times and discovering the joy of being connected. While endowed with a global outlook, BankMuscat remains Omani at heart. We seek to serve as a focal point in the preservation of Oman’s rich heritage and culture, encouraging people to maintain a strong link to the glorious legacy, thereby reinforcing the Sultanate’s distinct cultural character,” Tabook said.

Salalah Tourism Festival has succeeded in serving as a window to Oman’s heritage and culture. “We strongly believe the presence of BankMuscat will complement in making the event a memorable experience,” Tabook added.
