British Airways cuts fares from UAE by up to 40%
Emirates 24/7 - 31 July, 2012 British Airways (BA) has slashed airfare upto 40 per cent for UAE travellers flying to Europe, US and Canada, said a senior official.
The reduction in airfare varies and it goes up to 40 per cent depending on what package the customer chooses, said Paolo De Renzis, Regional Commercial Manager, Middle East, British Airways.
The reduction in fares is applicable for First, Club World (business class), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy). Passengers must book before August 11, 2012 and travel before December 31, 2012.
"British Airways’ extensive network offers passage to many of the world’s great cities through the main travel hub of London, while the extended travel period would be tempting for anyone considering travel in the next five months. The Middle East has a diverse population with people from all over the world making a home in the Gulf states. Most residents will travel at least once a year to visit loved ones and many find the Middle East’s central location perfect for discovering new destinations. Our sale fares open up new and familiar destinations for travellers,” he added.
Fares start from just Dh2,840 in World Traveller, Dh5,110 in World Traveller Plus, Dh11,030 in Club World and Dh22,480 in First from the UAE to London. To fly across the Atlantic to the USA will cost from Dh4,660 in World Traveller, Dh7,740 in World Traveller Plus, Dh13,680 in Club World and Dh30,760 in First.
To Canada, fares start from Dh4,660 in World Traveller, Dh7,740 in World Traveller Plus, Dh13,680 in Club World and Dh30,760 in First. All fares are for return flights and include taxes, fees and surcharges.
British Airways has also announced its new winter schedule which includes an increased presence in the Middle East and CIS regions due to the integration of former bmi routes. In addition to Saudi, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, British Airways will also operate services to Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Jordan and Georgia. The winter schedule will also see an increase in capacity on the Dubai to London route as British Airways will operate one B747 and two B777s on the route as opposed to one B747, one B777 and one B767. |
