Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that Iran and Saudi Arabia should not let anything impede their amicable ties.

Addressing a Conference on Hajj and Economy, Larijani said Tehran and Riyadh should keep their good relations despite possible disputes.

Today, he added, the relations between the nations are beyond the diplomatic issues.

Referring to the conference as an opportunity for the Islamic countries to make investments, Larijani said the issue of Hajj should be given the importance.

Hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca, one of the holy cities in Saudi Arabia where the Muslims’ Prophet Mohammad was born.

The Majlis speaker described Mecca as a place for strengthening unity among the world Muslims.
