Qatari PM, Annan discuss Syrian conflict

Qatari premier and foreign minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem Al-Thani discussed the situation in Syria with the UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan on Saturday.

Sheikh Hamad received a phone call from Annan to discuss the violence in Syria and the latest massacre committed in the town of Al-Treimseh in countryside of Hama, official news agency (QNA) reported.

At least 200 men, women and children were killed in Treimseh, bringing an international outrage at the ongoing bloodshed in Syria.
