Turkish MP stresses closer trade ties with Kuwait

Kuwait News Agency - 16 July, 2012

A visiting senior Turkish member of parliament on Sunday voiced his country's willingness to reinforce and boost economic and trade relations with Kuwait.

While visiting Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) Bulent Gedikli said Turkey was ready for transferring its varied experience to the Kuwaiti business sector, and for opening fresh vistas of cooperation with Kuwaiti companies.

He boasted that his country's laws stipulate and encourage investors and businessmen, citing a foreign property ownership law as a relevant example.

For his part, First Deputy Chairman of the KCCI Khaled Al-Saqer underlined the necessity of boosting trade relations between both countries, given that Turkey has great investment openings while Kuwaiti companies have capabilities to invest abroad.
He also called for exchanging expertise between Turkish and Kuwaiti investors.
